WHAT WE LOVE
The bright red-coloured, recognizable facade of Alice's antique shop on Portobello Road is a Notting Hill institution. Family-owned for four generations, Alice's was established in 1887. The eye-catching shopfront is happily piled with an assortment of antique and vintage wares. An eclectic mix of furniture, toys, decor, curios, and an assortment of patterned Staffordshire china from Heron Cross Pottery.
For Paddington Bear fans that think there's something familiar about Alice's it's because, with a few sign changes it became " Mr Grubers Antique Shop " in the Paddington Bear movies.
