Freeman offers men's casual clothing suited for the outdoor lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest. The brand launched in 2011 by Scott and Brittany Freeman in pursuit of the ideal raincoat. The result was the Freeman Raincoat, that continues to be a bestseller. The brand expanded into other wardrobe staples, made locally in Seattle, and the opening of the Freeman Store in 2014.

The shop, in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, is housed in the historic Loveless building dating 1930. Designed by the Seattle architect Arthur Loveless, each shop front was originally an artist studio before becoming retail spaces.
