LAVA | atelier, located in a 19th century brick Italianate building, is the retail component of Meg Lavalette's interior design studio, LAVA interiors. Meg believes interiors should encompass a broad provenance of items juxtaposed with one another, and uses natural materials like baby alpaca, bronze, travertine, 19th century woods like chestnut, and antique textiles to weave a visual and tactile story in every space she creates. It is with this ethos that she has hand picked a selection of vintage and antique furniture and lighting from her global travels, along with handmade furniture and art from local fabricators and artists.

"The shop is an opportunity for self-expression as I’m not filtering the selection of product through the lens of a client’s own aesthetic. An antique and vintage retail shop is more creatively fluid than an interior design project, which is more operationally fluid, so there is more space to be creative."
