Magpie Vintage is a women-owned independent fashion label specializing in upcycled clothing. Designer Alice Lockspeiser started her vintage clothing business in 2010 first at Portobello Market and then at Brick Lane Vintage Market. As well as her collection of vintage clothing, Alice reworked vintage denim. Turning to her collection of vintage textiles, Alice started using one-of-a-kind patchwork quilts, crochet blankets, and embroidered linen tablecloths fashioning them into dresses, jackets and trousers.

Today Magpie Vintage has two stalls at the Brick Lane Vintage Market, a shop in Camden Passage and a second on Portobello Road. The collection is designed, cut, and sewn by a small team in a London workshop who carefully keep all the scraps that they use to make accessories such as collars, hats, and scrunchies.
