Niwaki opened on Marylebone's Chiltern Street in 2021, offering a range of covetable gardening tools and kitchen tools. After spending several years working in plant nurseries in both Osaka and Sussex, Sculptor Jake Hobson founded the company, Niwaki Ltd, which translates to garden tree in Japanese. Enchanted by the gardens of Japan and impressed by the quality of Japanese gardening tools, Jake started by importing Japanese tripod ladders. Over the years the assortment has grown to include all manner of precision gardening tools, kitchen tools, stationery, workwear and their own branded goods. Many of the goods Niwaki carries are handmade in Japan by skilled artisans.
