Paquita, a cozy tea shop in the West Village, emits a warm glow created by the burnished canisters of loose-leaf tea that line the shelved walls, salvaged wood details, and the ornamental tin ceiling. Founded in 2021 by neighborhood-local Mariquit Ingalla, owner of neighboring businesses Ad Hoc and Rosecrans, she named Paquita in honor of her late grandmother.

Paquita specializes in more than 100 varieties of organic loose tea and botanicals, and also serves coffee and small bites. There is also a selection of home goods and gifts.

From 1989 to 2017 Walter’s Antique Clock & Watch Repair occupied this historic space before it became Paquita. A Russian immigrant's business that Paquita thoughtfully pays tribute to on their Instagram.
