A 17th century pedestrian street lined with Victorian shopfronts is home to Watkins Books. Founded in 1893 by John M. Watkins, Watkins Books moved to its current location on Cecil Court in 1901. Watkins Books boasts one of the world's largest selections of both new and secondhand spiritual and esoteric literature including titles on eastern philosophy and western esoterica, as well as a wide variety of contemporary forms of mind, body and spirit related material. Alongside the books there is a collection jewelry, statues, Tarot decks, gems, crystals, talismans and incense.

Watkins Books also offer Tarot and other readings in store, as well as a full calendar of in person events.
