Established in 1970 Connemara Carpets has two Galway showrooms, one in Clifden and one in Moyard, where luxury handmade rugs, carpets and wall-hangings can be viewed (and more importantly, touched). Each season Joan Nagle, managing director, releases a new series of exquisitely vibrant hand-tufted rugs and carpets under the house brand Moyard. “There tends to be a hesitancy among Irish clients about using bright colours. We want to get away from dark grey and show some light.”
