WHAT WE LOVE

Matriark was founded in 2019 by Patricia Assui Reed to champion women-owned brands showcasing unique fashion, shoes, accessories, and home goods whilst giving back to women’s causes. Located in The Hamptons' historic town of Sag harbor in a white gingerbread house dating back to 1840.

After industry research revealed that 75% of fashion customers are women, yet only 14% of major fashion brands are actually led by women, Patricia chose the name, Matriark, as an antidote to the patriarchal system. In 2022 Matriark expanded its umbrella to include LBGTQIA+ brands.
