WHAT WE LOVE
Mercer Street Books was established in Greenwich Village in 1990 and is frequented by many local literary neighbors and independent bookstore fans. Founded by Wayne Conti who has amassed an impressive collection of used books including those that are hard-to-find and out-of-print.
As well as books there is a selection of vinyl records. In 2022 the proprietor launched the publishing arm of Mercer Street Books.
"We're filled to the gunnels with used and out-of-print books in almost any imaginable subject. We have LPS, too. Everyone here is a writer in some field or other, so one of us is bound to have found things you're looking for. Lose yourself in old school Greenwich Village."
