Mud Australia creates elegant and timeless ceramics in a range of delicate, pretty shades. Founded by self-taught ceramicist Shelley Simpson, all the pieces are handmade in Sydney from porcelain sourced directly from Limoges, France. The ceramic tableware are designed for everyday use, and can used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher. 

The first Mud Australia shop opened in Sydney's Woollahra in 2007. Today there are ten shops located in Australia, London, New York and Los Angeles. Each store shares a similar visual language with store interiors using iconic Vitsoe shelving systems and refined Barber Osgerby tables.

To complement the ceramics there are David Mellor and Cutipol cutlery, French linens, and placemats from Irish weavers, Mourne textiles.

Mud Australia is carbon neutral since 2020.
