WHAT WE LOVE

San Francisco Books is a secondhand bookshop in Paris specializing in English language books. A wide assortment of books including hardcover, paperback and pocketbook fiction, first editions, mysteries, science fiction, academic, esoteric and collectible titles on a wide variety of subjects: history, art, science, philosophy, religion, humanities, theater, music, film, food, and children's.

Located in the Odeon area on Paris' Rive Gauche (Left Bank), San Francisco Books was founded by Jim Carroll in 1997. Jim named the bookstore after the city where he lived for 33 years and left his heart, painting the shopfront in International Orange a nod to the official color of the Golden Gate Bridge. The storefront features built-in bookcases filled with books to browse before entering, once inside books fill a series of rooms from the checkered floor to ceiling.

"Located on the Left Bank in Paris, San Francisco Books is a used English-language bookshop."
