The Corner Bookstore opened in 1978 on the corner of 93rd Street & Madison Avenue in New York's Upper-East-Side Carnegie Hill neighborhood. The appropriately named, The Corner Bookstore occupies the ground floor of an 1890's brownstone and was lovingly restored by the owners, revealing the wonderful interior that boasts a terrazzo floor, tinned ceiling, and wood cabinetry, dating from the 1920s. Pots of red geraniums and hanging ivy add color and decoration along the front ledge above the shop window.

The bookshop is stocked with current fiction and non-fiction titles with a wonderful children's section popular with all the local school children.
