WHAT WE LOVE

Award-winning bookshop, The Mainstreet Trading Company, is based in the picturesque Scottish Borders village of St Boswells. In 2008 husband and wife team, Rosamund and Bill de la Hey, renovated a series of buildings that once served as a general store from 1836 to the 1970s and subsequently as an auction house, transforming them into a wonderful bookstore, deli and home store.

The Mainstreet Trading Company has also restored a vintage Citroën H Van that brings authors to rural schools around the Scottish Borders.
