WHAT WE LOVE

Established in 1979 by David Tobin, Walden Books buys and sells used and rare books, specializing in literature and the visual arts. Located on a Victorian Terrace in Camden, the shopfront boasts a magnificent wisteria vine, its name is a tribute to Thoreau's Walden: Life in the Woods .

The shop consists of two ground-floor rooms, with books shelved by category. Outside, on our forecourt bargain bins are filled with cheap and cheerful paperbacks. Walden Books is known for its fair prices across an array of topics including literature, novels, poetry, plays, literary criticism, visual arts, philosophy, history and travel.
