WHAT WE LOVE

Le Perche is a French bakery, bar and restaurant in a former bank building dating to 1830 in Hudson, NY. Traditional French baguettes, organic sourdough breads, croissants and pastries are all handmade and baked in a wood-fired brick oven brought over from France. Le perche offers a variety of breads and buttery croissants are available in both savory and sweet flavors - original, almond, ham and cheese or spinach and feta. Beverages include coffee drinks, sodas and a beautiful antique bar serves wine, beer, and cocktails.

Le Perche is owned by Jeff and Nina Gimmel, proprietors of the nearby popular Swoon restaurant. The café and restaurant menu is French-inspired using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Le Perche features al fresco dining either on the sidewalk or in a pretty rear courtyard as well as indoor dining and take out.

"The wood-burning brick oven bakery focuses on naturally fermented breads, classic viennoiseries, pastries and contemporary plated desserts."
